GRE coaching and preparation courses

This particular course is designed for students who are currently pursuing their Bachelors in any domain and want to go abroad for further studies. The GRE preparation at FGA trains students in all the areas essential for the GRE test taker to be aware and educated in.

What is GRE?

  • The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a test conducted globally by the ETS organization. This examination is seen as a gateway for gaining admission into most of the Graduate Schools abroad.
  • The exam tests the candidate in these main areas:
    • Verbal Reasoning
    • Quantitative Reasoning
    • Analytical Writing
    • Critical Thinking
  • It is a computer-delivered test which is section-wise adaptive.


  • The duration of the test is 3 hours and 45 minutes.
  • GRE is conducted throughout the year.
  • A candidate can appear for the test a maximum of five times a year with a gap of a minimum of 21 days.
  • The test can be taken at more than 1000 centres spread across 160 countries on a global scale.
  • The test score is valid for five years.
  • Examination Fees: $205
  • Minimum qualification required to take the test is holding a graduate degree in any domain.
  • The acceptable GRE score for admission into an above average graduate school ranges between 260-340 marks.


The test consists of 5 sections out of which two will be from Verbal reasoning and two will be from Quantitative reasoning. The remaining section is a DUMMY section which can consists of questions from either of the above two sections. The marks obtained in the dummy section are not calculated in the final score.

After the Quantitative and Verbal section, an Analytical writing test is conducted which measures the test taker’s ability regarding the portrayal of ideas and the articulation of concepts.
